The breeding aim of the Kersey herd is to produce cattle which are:
- Fleshy
- Long
- Mobile
- Well balanced
- Fast growing
- Capable of calving naturally
- Performance recorded with top figures
Homebred bulls are used on our commercial herd of crossbred Simmental cows and are sold for breeding direct off the farm as well as at society sales at Chelford and Carlisle. Bulls, cows and heifers are usually available for sale as well as embryos.
